Insta Lately: Vol. 13

Insta Lately: Vol. 13 | SCATTERBRAIN

Lo and behold, I'm finally caught up with my Insta Lately series! Some days I want to give it all up, but when I think about most of you who appreciate the efforts I put in this series, I get motivated to continue what I had started. If you noticed on my Instagram page, I purposely refrained from posting regularly in order to clear my backlog.

Seems like a terrible idea, but a girl's gotta do what she ought to do. Anyway, here are what's been on my Instagram lately:

Insta Lately: Vol. 13 | SCATTERBRAIN

oneThis is The Atrium a.k.a. Charlotte Douglas International Airport's cafeteria, which reminds me so much of the Food Court in SM Mall of Asia (Manila, Philippines). Filipino readers, don't you agree with me? twoThat one time Roan and I went to Torrey Pines State Beach to watch seagulls. This was the closest I've gotten to one before it flew away. It must be day-dreaming. | threeDuring the holidays, Roan took me to the Holiday Wonderland in Petco Park. It was OK, but thought the theme park was more interesting to kids than kids-at-heart like ourselves. Roan wanted me to ride the snow tubes, but was so embarrassed to try. I know, what a killjoy.

fourGuys, these two are real reindeers. I have never seen one nor ever thought they existed in real life. | fiveI know it doesn't look like it, but this street art (or garbage to some) is actually part of Wahoo's Fish Taco Shop's exteriors. I certainly think it adds to its city's charm. | sixRoan, his youngest sister, and I drove to Julian, CA only to be welcomed by ten times more tourists than usual.

We ended up eating some classic apple cinnamon pie at the Julian Pie Company, which was really good!

sevenHave you heard of the Pantone Color of the Year for 2016? If this gorgeous sky doesn't best describe Rose Quartz & Serenity, I don't know what does. I hurriedly took this photo upon arriving at the Santa Monica Pier on New Year's Day. | eightBrunch with Roan and his two sisters on New Year's Day ended up in a spontaneous road trip to Santa Monica Pier. It was a night of strolling along Downtown Santa Monica, having dinner at a Japanese restaurant I don't remember its name, that ended up having some Thai Milk Tea just a few miles away from Downtown LA. It was a day well-spent! | nine. There's no better way to describe this photo than this excerpt from AtlasObscura.com

“A sign at the end of the Santa Monica Pier marks the end of the legendary American highway (Route 66), symbolizing that this road only ended when the sea stood in its way.”
