A Tour Through Blogland

A Tour Through Blogland.png

It has been a month since Ailee tagged me on this series, but only got around to doing it today. Thanks, Ailee! By the way, please stay tuned because she's going to be my next guest on the blog very soon. Anyway, let's get down to business—

What am I working on?

Apart from drafting this post, I am working on my immigration papers/visa application to the US. Looking at our immigration timeline, we are almost at the end of our National Visa Center (NVC) processing. We hope to advance to Consulate Processing in no time. Blog-wise, I have several draft posts in my dashboard waiting to happen. I might revisit some of them, and see if anything pans out in the coming weeks.

How does my blog differ from others of its genre?

Truth is, I only know very few bloggers who are in the same genre as mine. The least I want to do is compare my blog with hundreds and thousands of other blogs out there, but if you insist, I'd say that my voice is what makes my blog different. I think my Catholic faith and being a Filipino also influence my beliefs and opinions toward certain issues.

Why do I write/create what I do?

I personally live by this quote by Ella Fitzgerald:

Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, don't think you can go wrong.

I have quite a recluse personality, so more often than not, I'd rather stick to reading, blogging, or simply hanging out with very close family and friends. I blog because it makes me crazy happy, and the people close to my heart are my favorite muse.

I find it easier to express my thoughts whenever they are my subject, which I think is pretty evident in this little space. I don't have Facebook, so this is where friends and family can visit to know what I've been up to.

How does your writing/creating process work?

As of now, I only offer two regular series on the blog—Feed Your Mind (recently read books) and guest posts by invitation. Other than these two, I only write when I feel like it or when I find inspiration from fellow bloggers. I sometimes join link-up parties, and one that I have regularly participated in is Emily's Grateful Heart link-up. Perhaps when I move to the US, I'll expand my horizon, and come up with an editorial calendar of curated posts. I guess by then I'll have several things to share with you all!

I nominate these three lovely ladies
