I don't know about you, but when I think of October, I always imagine Halloween costume parties. In my head, I see the
Last Month's Goals in Retrospect
I wish I could raise a white flag, and just surrender from all of the bills that need to be paid. I consolidated all our monthly bills, and boy, do I wish money grew on trees. Monthly recurring expenses are doable; it's the extras (i.e., co-payment for emergency room visits in May and July) that are giving me a headache.
Can we stop being an adult now? I wish.Roan requested for a behind-the-wheel driving test schedule change in September, but we were forced to cancel it because no one could take me to DMV San Marcos. Originally, the DMV gave me an October 22 schedule, but Roan got a September 11 schedule, which we had to cancel from eventually. Roan is taking me to DMV to take the test tomorrow, and I hope I ace it the same way I did with the written exam.
I spent an entire day or two updating my resumé a few weeks ago, and I've already submitted an application to several companies I'm interested in working with. Now I'm just waiting to be called in for an interview, which is always the least fun part.

October Goals
With Christmas coming up (hey, it's less than 100 days before Christmas, if you haven't noticed), Roan and I plan on sending a balikbayan box to our family back home.
It may take a little longer to get there, so we must send it at least two months in advance. The only thing I'm really anxious about is the recent news on how the Bureau of Customs deals with them.Get at least 5 miles in of walking/jogging/running if not everyday, at least every other day. I'm sure you've read my recent entry about my weight and body issues, and this is my way of starting over. I don't know how many times I've said this before, but I need to re-build my cardio foundation in order to perform other intense strength and resistance workouts. I'm not looking into an overnight success here, but a more streamlined approach towards a complete overhaul of lifestyle. Rome wasn't built in a day, right?
Give up snacking on junk food. Every now and then, I like having a bowl of nachos and another bowl of salsa dip while binge-watching on Netflix. Sometimes, I add a glass of ginger ale on the side for maximum 'chill' situation. Junk food and I need to break up for good.
On the flip side, a couple of lovely SCATTERBRAIN readers have requested some post ideas, which I truly appreciate! I hope to grant at least one of their requests this month—watch out for it, yes?
