December Goals

December Goals | SCATTERBRAIN

Well, well, well. We are down to the last 30 days of the year. How is it possible that we were just gearing up for 2015, and here we are now, doing the same exact thing for the imminent year? My head hurts just thinking how time breezed past me without me even realizing it. I have an announcement of minimal importance to make at the end of this post, but before we get on that, let's see how I did with my goals for November.

Last Month's Goals in Retrospect

Eat more quinoa or brown rice than white rice. I went over and beyond this one because about two weeks ago, I eventually stopped eating rice altogether. It slipped my mind the other day, though, when Roan and I had The Flame Broiler for lunch. (P.S. It was so good!)

Maintain a 5-mile distance goal. Nope, didn't happen. It's just impossible for me to move around a lot these days because of the cold weather. I always feel cold!

Catch up with blog work. I did so in the first three weeks, but completely abandoned my blog the week of Thanksgiving. Yet again, I blame the weather for that.

Enjoy November. I did enjoy my birth-month in spite of not having my family around to celebrate it with. I'm thankful, nonetheless, for everyone and their well-wishes on my birthday. I couldn't have asked for more!

I only have one goal for this month: to be present because being present is the only moment that matters.

I will try to see the good from the past and not be worried about the future. December has always been precious because it's the most festive season of the year. I literally get chills (the good kind) whenever I hear Christmas songs playing in the background or seeing Christmas decors plastered on every establishment I come across. I want to savor these moments, especially now that my Christmas is going to be different being away from my family for the first time.

Now onto my semi-important announcement... I just want to let you, guys, know that this will be my final 'goals' post here on the blog. I will continue to set goals and aim to accomplish them, but I will keep those things private this time. I haven't been writing in my journal lately, so that's a good excuse to get back to it again. I may or may not do something else in the coming months, so check back in again next year! That is all, my friends. That is all.

What are your goals this month?
