Dumb and Dumber To

I received an email from SM Cinema a few weeks ago, indicating that I am entitled to register for free movie passes for myself and a friend. Thinking that the offer is free, I immediately signed up for two tickets for my brother, Roi, and myself before they run out.

There were limited movie choices, and the only film I was familiar with is Dumb and Dumber To, starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

Here's the thing: I'm not a big Jim Carrey fan. In fact, I don't find him funny at all. The Mask was the first Jim Carrey I saw, and it's probably one of the worst movies of all time. I don't know if it's him or the way he does slapstick comedy, but I think that there far more funny people than Jim Carrey. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in 21 and 22 Jump Street are some of them. I may be biased, but Jim Carrey's over-acting is getting old. Really, really old. I think Jeff Daniels did great in the movie, though slightly seemed like trying hard.

I haven't watched Dumb and Dumber, so I couldn't relate to some scenes referring to their stints from 20 years ago. My brother and I possible laughed only four to five times throughout the entire movie, and I don't think that's good statistics. Is this movie worth watching? I don't think I'd recommend it at all.

Has anyone else watched this movie yet? What did you think of it?
