Humpday Confessions

I've been meaning to write a confessions kind of post since last week, but recent changes, which I'm going to talk about further in this post, have dominated my life in general. What could possibly be the culprit of my two-week unplanned blogging hiatus? (P.S. I stumbled upon the following quote, and I couldn't agree more!

)

“The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.”
— Stephen Covey
  • I confess that I have consistently worked out at least five days a week for an entire month today (including days when I have my period). In the past, I always took a week off from working out whenever I have my menstruation because this time of the month makes me feel sluggish. Every morning upon waking up, I psych myself into getting up and powering through my workout for the day.
  • I confess that finding my rhythm, sticking to my routine, and making healthier food choices resulted in a 5-pound weight loss. Since I'm building my cardio foundation, this number could simply mean losing some water weight, which is still considered a feat.
  • I confess that since choosing to be more active than living a sedentary lifestyle, I have been less interested in sitting in "my office" all day to blog. This allows me to spend more quality time with Roan in the evening as we wind down by watching a movie or his favorite show before bedtime.
  • I confess  that in so doing, I have managed to lower my resting heart rate to that of an active person. In short, I don't get easily tired from minor physical activities such as walking and going up and down the stairs.

  • I confess that in spite of all these, I still have days when I don't feel motivated to lace my shoes up, and leave. Thanks to my supportive and equally competitive husband for keeping me accountable at all times.
  • I confess that I get anxious when I haven't completed my goals towards the end of the day.
  • I confess  that I have started to switch things up this week by introducing some strength and resistance training so that I don't bore and burn myself out easily.
  • I confess that I could care less about what other people think at this point because everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  • I confess that I cried my eyes out when I heard that one of our dogs back home has died. Maxxine was a mutt, which was given to my brother by his classmate from college six years ago. According to my brother, my dad found her dead in her kennel on Monday morning. She wasn't the prettiest, but she was the feisty one among three dogs. I might cry again if I don't see her when Roan and I come home to the Philippines.
  • I confess that Roan, my sisters-in-law, and I booked a 4-day trip this spring, and I'm super excited! Details of our destination will remain confidential for now, though!
  • I confess that I might lock myself up inside the apartment once the pollen season is in full swing.
  • I confess that I could care less about what to wear for spring/summer because I live in my hoodie jacket, gym pants, and sneakers, anyway.
  • I confess that I broke my make-up shopping ban because I used my rewards points from ULTA, plus free Target gift cards. It's not so bad, I guess?
  • I confess that I have a lot of things to blog about and emails left unanswered to this day, but it will probably take another two weeks to get to them because l i f e.

Two can play this game. What's your humpday confessions?
